The peace of the morning was disturbed by the arrival of a small
flotilla of charter boats. They blew fog horns or vuvuzelas at one another, and
generally horsed around a little. We were not too disappointed when they left
this afternoon.
In the late afternoon, after siesta time, we took the tender
and went ashore to get some essentials from the small supermarket. It is
amazing the different perspective you get of a place when moving between the sea
and the beach. We had felt the gusts of wind on and off all day, but the beach
seemed still and tranquil. The views from the different angles are also
interesting to compare.
On our return Tricia decided that she wanted a swim to cool
down. This was a rather short-lived activity, as I think the water was colder
than expected.
Other boats have anchored here for the night, and we were
aware that one was dragging its anchor, we are a little paranoid about this at
the moment. Eventually we managed to attract their attention and tell them,
although I think they had already realised, and soon after moved to another
spot. Hopefully they will hold there,
because their new position is rather closer to us than their previous spot.
