I woke to the sound of bells ringing on the large ferry, which was loading all yesterday and blocking our view of Ibiza town in all its glory. I knew this was the loading doors closing. How exciting. I was up with no problem to potentially enjoy the view before the next ferry arrived. At 8 o’clock, on the dot, the ferry left and we could enjoy said view all morning.

The offending ferry
The excitement was also because of Henry arriving and we got a message just after 8.30 to say he had landed, 30 minutes early. We met him off the bus and could take our time catching up with news before getting ready to leave.

We managed, by luck or judgement, to pick a time, early afternoon, to leave, when there were no large vessels or high speed ferries moving in the harbour.

The sun shone, the wind blew from behind us and in no time flat we were back at the entrance to Cala Llonga. This is a great spot to come back to as our jump off to leave for Mallorca tomorrow.
It was very gusty while we were laying the anchor, but it bit straight away, so we feel pretty confident we can relax tonight.

Having new crew has thrown our routine a little so we realise we must be careful to go through the check list of everything being done. We will form a new routine with Henry and subsequent visitors, I’m sure. It’s great to have new company even though I have to now also get up to speed with what happening in the world of football.

The last two evenings, its been warm enough to dine on deck and watch the sun go down, all be it with jumpers on; an absolute delight.
