We decided, first thing, that we would be best to move from the anchorage into the marina. This would make everything easier when the riggers came. A few minutes after calling the marina on the radio, they had a space for us, so, shortly after breakfast, we moved. It was a nice easy berth to get into, but next door to a building site. The outside quay of the marina is being developed to provide new buildings for the dive centre, marina office and a swimming pool. The guys in the office told us that they had been waiting 13 years for this and it was due to be finish in June. At the moment it looked as though only the building for the dive centre was nearly finished, the other buildings not even started, so we speculated that, maybe, it would be June 2020, not 2019. The office guys laughed with an ironic chuckle of agreement that such timing may be likely.

Customer services at Furler Boom called during the morning and gave Steve useful information for sorting out the problem with the roller being stuck. The wonders of modern science, he was in their workshop showing live video of the parts of the boom that we should check. Then we walked into Soller town to get provisions. The town was busy with tourists; a high proportion being hikers and cyclists. Local shops advertised hiking the three peaks, so these must be the tallest peaks on the island. Several bunches of  cycle club "chain gangs" past us. The orange and lemon trees were laden with fruit. Unfortunately we were too late for the fish market, that was already packed up and closed. There were several delightful, old fashioned (by our experience) grocers shops, which were like Aladdin’s caves of goodies. The greengrocers had giant sized everything of the fruit and veg.

We took the tram back to the port to save carrying the shopping all that way. Although it was rather quaint, it was an uncomfortable ride, being bounced around and expensive. We wish we’d just walked.

Once the heat of the afternoon was starting to subside, we cleaned the boat. Then, having cleaned up ourselves too, we could enjoy our sun-downers on the deck in the wonderful early evening sunshine.
We treated ourselves to a late supper ashore in one of the pretty harbour-side restaurants.
