Apologies to all regular readers that this has taken so long
to post. Each time we are away from
the boat we have to re-establish the habit of writing, and this time we have
had a succession of visitors, who also alter our normal pattern of activity
slightly. Normal service now being resumed.
Steve (and Tricia)
Our first day of true action, and we had visitors, our son
and his fiancée, to meet in Alghero. So
we were up and away from Bosa fairly promptly.
We knew that we still had preparations for the next few days to be made,
including shopping, so we could not linger.
The marina sent a rib to guide us out of the shallow entrance, they know
where the deepest line is, and we were keen to stick to it.
The journey was uneventful and we returned to the same
marina that we had visited in June. The manager of this marina is now a friend who
has done a lot to help and we could not contemplate going anywhere else.
Mid afternoon the heavens opened with a torrential downpour.
Fortunately, we had done all the work of putting the boat to bed for the night,
so we did not have to be outside. I have
not seen such heavy rain in years. After an hour or so it started to ease, and
we ventured to the supermarket for provisions, only getting slightly damp.
In the evening Chris and Giorgia arrived, having had a relatively
easy journey, flights only 30 mins late.
It is great to have them with us, it is Giorgia’s first time on Equinox.
It will also be great to have some language guidance from her, as an Italian.
